For those of you who don't know me too well, I have always said that I hate hair. I have thought that the only reason we have hair is as another trial in our lives, one more thing to take care of and worry about. When Tink was born I wondered what in the world Heavenly Father was thinking giving me a daughter with so much hair. I didn't know what to do with hair, I had always kept mine short and simple. Well, about two months ago a friend taught me how to french braid Tinks hair to help keep it off her neck. Here are some pictures of my second attempt at french braiding Tink's hair. I am quite impressed with myself. By the way my secret to getting her to hold relatively still while I did this was to intice her with TV. I know, I know, but I am sooooo not the only mom who does that sort of thing.

This has boosted my confidence in doing my daughter's hair. I actually enjoy experimenting with her hair with different ways to put it up off her neck in this summer heat. I really love putting it up in two knots (like in her fairy princess pictures). It is adorable like that and especially beautiful when we take it down. As for my hair, even though I have a fun cut I love, I still hate messing with it!
