Friends

Right now we are going through an extremely stressful time because of other people's decisions and way of life. I won't get into it right now, and especially not on our blog but life is very stressful. I am sooooo grateful to have friends at this difficult time in our lives. Saturday and Sunday the stress was proving to be a little more than I could handle. I hated how I was treating Tink, wasn't handling the heat very well (they don't use air conditioning in the house we are staying in), and hadn't been out of the house in days. So Sunday I knew I had to do something so after church I called Michelle who recently moved only 15 minutes away from us. I asked her if she would mind picking Tink and myself up and if we hid out, I mean hung out, there until Daddy got off work and picked us up. It was so nice to be with friends and to relax and laugh. Her husband and brother-in-law took the kids out to play while us women stayed inside and talked as we watched Michelle make cookies. I loved having adult time and not being the only one to watch Tink. I could feel such a difference and was excited to see how much better I was with Tink after a short time there. Another friend called while I was there and she is coming ove for dinner tonight and I am soooo excited. I plan to make Fun Taco Cups and look forward to more adult conversation with a good friend. This is the most interaction outside of the house that I have had in a long time. It is helping me handle the stress a bit better although we are still looking for an apartment in our price range, in a safe neighborhood, who will take a 6 month lease and that has a vacancy as soon as possible. Growing up I didn't have a lot of friends, and never that really great person who was really my best friend so right now having these friends and other friends help us through this time is a blessing I can't put a price on. I am so grateful for friends and all the emotional help they are to me right now! Friends come and go sometimes, but some friends are always there when you really need them and I am so blessed to finally have friends like that.
By the way, Daddy and I are doing great! He is still doing amazing in school. Our relationship is still great, that is not the stress we are under it is all completely outside of us but inside the home we are staying in. Daddy plays with Tink outside everynight when he first gets home from school and I love just watching them have that time together. Tink gets so excited when he gets home or gets to stay home on his off days. Their favorite game to play lately is airplane. They pretend to be airplanes flying in the sky and then they shoot each other out of the sky complete with sound effects. Our new camera should be here soon and we will have to take videos of them playing this game so you can see how adorable they are. Tink and Mommy are heading out of town for a few days to visit Daddy's mom and aunt with his sister and her three girls. Then we will meet Daddy Saturday at his family reunion. Hopefully we will have our camera at least by Saturday.
