Yesterday was a fairly good day. Tink has gotten to where she loves going to church. She is making friends with the little boys in nursery. She is also learning to sit very good during oour last our of church which is when our ward has sacrament meeting. (Most wards have sacrament meeting, which is similar to mass, with everyone and then split off to go to sunday school and other classes.) She "conducts" during the songs and sometimes sings along. She folds her arms and bows her head during prayer, at least at the beginning since our ward has a lot of people who say really long prayers, and is quiet throughout the entire prayer.
After church we came home and ate. Then we went for a walk and after the walk we came upstairs. Tink wanted to play on our little front patio we have on the top floor. I knew we had some wasps (or something) that are usually out there but have never bothered us before. Still I looked to make sure I couldn't see any before I let her out. I had barely shut the screen behind her when she started screaming. I rushed to open the screen again and saw her grabbing both ears and just screaming in pain. I pulled her left hand off her ear and saw the wasp (or something) between two of her fingers. I shook it off and yelled at it to "Leave my baby alone!" Her ear was red and slightly swollen. Her paternal grandpa was downstairs and came to see what happened. I ran downstairs with her and asked him to see if he could tell if the stinger was still in while I grabbed some ice. It took a little while but she calmed down and then came to me and soon fell asleep for her nap. The swelling eventually went away and the redness is now only at the specific sting spot. She told me "bug sting me outside." She was so matter of fact about it and yet so emotional still from her first time being stung.
Right after her nap it was just about to rain. It didn't rain as hard as I expected, just little sprinkles. Tink and I went outside and enjoyed the break from the awful heat inside an air conditioning free house.
Later that night as we were sitting together with Daddy eating dinner Tink started to cough. Daddy looked at her and told her that choking is not allowed. She continued to fake cough and laugh when he reacted. Then I wanted him to see how cute she is when she fake sneezes too, so I asked her to show Daddy how she sneezes. He was properly impressed at how well she fake sneezes. We continued to allow her to fake cough and sneeze and hiccup and then Daddy asked her if she could toot (fart for those of you who aren't as gentle). I expected her to vibrate her lips to immitate the sound. She looked more thoughtful and leaned forward a bit. I was confused and looked at Daddy who started to laugh like he was really impressed. I caught on just in time to look at her right as she, sure enough, pushed out a little toot. I was so shocked I covered my face with my hands and laughed. Daddy was so proud he laughed out loud and picked her up in a huge hug. She was also very impressed and loved the reaction she got and started to laugh hard too. Thankfully she didn't continue to try to push out more toots. I am not fond of the idea of my little girl being a tooting monster.

We might have to call her "little Toot" instead of Tink. She would get that from daddys side of the family.
