Tink loves sitting on the toilet and does so every time we change her diaper. She is so independent with doing things on her own that she wouldn't let us hold onto her while she was sitting on the toilet. So after a few close calls of her almost falling in we decided to buy her her very own potty seat. Now she can sit as long as she wants on the toilet and feel secure about not getting her little bum wet. When she is done on the toilet she insists on wiping and flushing the toilet, even though she has never actually gone in the toilet yet. We are hoping that now that she has a seat that fits her bum maybe she will be able to relax enough to actually go in the toilet. I am afraid that perhaps now I may need a book in the bathroom so I have something to do while I wait for her to get off her oh-so-comfortable potty seat.
Just for the record we are not actually trying to potty train her yet just going with what she wants to do. In fact I am not in any hurry to try to potty train her. With just one car Tink and I are at home a lot and I am not looking forward to my little bit of time outside of the house being spent frantically trying to get her to a bathroom in time before she pees or poops all over the place. Right now I still love diapers!!!
