Chicken Dance

Last night I was doing dishes and Daddy was outside grilling and playing with Tink. I loved watching them play together while I was working. I went in to the living room and couldn't see them anymore. Daddy called to me "Get the camera. It's important!" and this is what I found. You can't hear them making the music even though they both were singing the "Na Na Na Na Na Na Na..." so don't turn your speakers too loud because towards the end of the video I tell Tink to dance again and I am really loud. She had been doing the dance for a little while and decides during the video that she would rather run around but you can see that she really does know it and enjoy dancing.

Later that night I asked Daddy what made him decide to do the Chicken Dance with her and he said he didn't. She had started dancing and singing it on her own and had Daddy join in with her. It is a huge tradition on my Dad's side of the family to do the Chicken Dance almost everytime we get together, and at weddings we are the best ones out there everytime! Not living close to them anymore right now makes Tink doing this on her own even more special to me. It is amazing how much a silly dance can mean to a person. I love and miss my family very much and I love to be passing along all the little things we enjoy together to my own little family!
